All wrestlers must wear wrestling shoes and headgear during practice. If you do not currently have wrestling shoes, your child may practice in socks. Wrestlers may not practice in sneakers, tennis shoes, or barefoot.
For kids that have braces, mouth guards are required.
Note: Please have your child wear other shoes to practice and change into their wrestling shoes after arriving. We need to keep the mats as clean as possible.
Wrestlers should wear fitted t-shirts and shorts to practice. Do not wear loose or baggy clothing. Please note that it is extremely hot in the wrestling room.
Please send a large water bottle with your child to practice. We do not want to send wrestlers to the hallways to use the water fountains. There will be frequent water breaks during practice.
Are there equipment rentals?
Singlets will be issued after practice begins and a rental check of $65 will be due at the time of issue. It will be held (not cashed) until the end of the season and returned when the equipment is returned.
Where do I get equipment?
Wrestling headgear, mouthguards and shoes can be purchased online (Amazon, www.rudis.com) or from Dick’s Sporting Goods.
Are uniforms/jerseys provided?
Singlets will be issued after practice begins and a rental check of $65 will be due at the time of issue.
