Dear SYA Little League Families,

Get ready for an exciting and important event – our Annual Meeting & Board of Directors Election! This is YOUR chance to shape the future of SYA Little League and ensure that our league continues to grow and thrive. Here are the details:

📅 Date: October 14, Wednesday
⏰ Time: 6:30 PM
📍 Location: VA Valor Office, 4455 Brookfield Corporate Dr, Suite 104, Chantilly

We’ll be reflecting on the past year’s successes, previewing what’s coming in the next season, and discussing important proposed changes to our Constitution. Plus, we’ll be holding nominations for new members to join the Board of Directors!

Why Attend?

Whether you’re a parent, family member, or fan of the game, your voice and input matter. We encourage everyone to get involved in the annual meeting and election – because this is your league!

Parents of players ages 4-16, we need you! We’re especially looking for parents who aren’t already managing or coaching teams to get involved. There’s a limit to the number of coaches who can serve on the Board, so we need more of you to join in and bring fresh perspectives. View the current Board of Directors listing-.

How Can You Participate?

Register as a Member:
SYA Little League members (managers, coaches, and volunteers) are the ones who can vote in these elections. If you’re already registered from the spring or fall season, you’re all set! If you’re not, no worries – just reach out to Bob Woodruff to register and become eligible to vote.
Nominate a Candidate (or Yourself!):
If you’re passionate about getting involved, nominate yourself or someone else for the Board of Directors! Simply email Bob Woodruff with your nomination by October 11. You can find the current Board of Directors and learn more about each role on the SYA Sports website.
Vote!
If you can’t make it in person, don’t worry – you can still vote by absentee ballot! Reach out to our Secretary, Jessica Butler , starting Monday October 12 to request your ballot, which must be submitted by October 14 at 12pm. You can also bring your ballot to the meeting if you’ll be attending in person.

SYA Little League is built on the efforts of passionate volunteers and supporters like you. By attending this meeting and voting, you’re helping us build a league that reflects the values and goals of our entire community. Plus, it’s a chance to be part of something bigger – your involvement makes a difference!
