Babe Ruth Child Protection Risk Management Program
Public Law No. 115-126 is the Protecting Young Victims from Sexual Abuse and Safe Sport Authorization Act of 2017, commonly referred to as the Safe Sport Act. This act is intended to prevent the sexual abuse of minors and amateur athletes by requiring the prompt reporting of sexual abuse to law enforcement authorities, and for other purposes.
Babe Ruth League Inc. is instituting the requirements of this law through its Child Protection Risk Management Program. The program includes required training for coaches and other league officials that come in direct contact with our athletes. SafeSport Act training supplied from USA Baseball, at no charge, can be accessed at Abuse Awareness for Adults.
