SYA Little League Baseball’s postseason teams have won four championships, with another team still playing in their tournament. Our 8-10 All Stars, 9-11 All Stars, Majors Specials, 9-11 Specials teams have all won their championships! Two other teams enjoyed their run but fell short: 8/9 Specials and 8-10 Softball All Stars.
SYA’s 8-10 All-Stars won the District 10 Championship game against Fairfax Nationals 12 to 1. SYA scored seven runs in the second inning to put the game out of reach before scoring five more runs later in the contest. SYA’s 8-10 All-Stars will now go to the Virginia State Tournament, hosted by District 10 and SYA at Patriot Park North. Opening Ceremonies are Thursday, July 3rd and games start Friday, July 4th. We hope to see our fans come out and support our team on our home fields. SYA East last won the District 10 championship in 2019 for the 8-10 level.

SYA’s 9-11 All Stars beat Fairfax National 9-11 All Stars in a nail biter 1-0 to become District 10 Champions. Jonfranco Angulo pitched a complete game striking out 13 batters in a dominant performance on the mound. SYA’s 9-11 All Stars will now represent District 10 and SYA Little League in the Virginia State Tournament in Coeburn, VA beginning July 10th! This is the first time since 2019 that SYA captured the 9-11 District 10 Championship (won by SYA East when SYA had East and West divisions).

SYA’s Majors Specials easily dispatched ANSLL’s 12U District Team with a score of 6-0. An inside the park home run started the scoring for SYA on their way to pitching a shutout.

SYA’s 9-11 Specials won big over Fairfax American 18-3. SYA scored nine runs on seven hits in the bottom of the first inning to take the lead, 9-2. SYA went on to score nine more runs to clinch the championship.
