SYA Little League is holding its 16th Annual Baseball/Softball Equipment Exchange Saturday, February 22 from 11:30am-3pm and Sunday February 23 from 11:30am to 3pm at Patriot Park North Snack Shack area during our outdoor evaluations. We are currently in the collection phase for very good to excellent condition baseball/softball gloves, cleats (no metal and no football/soccer cleats please), and baseball/softball pants that are taking up space in your home. Since we are outside, we can take bats also. We will have new socks and belts available, until they are gone. For those who donate to this annual event, you will then be able to come in and pick an item from all that has been donated. Donate one thing, take one thing. Donate two things, take two things. First time players can select items without exchange. Over the last 16 years, 800+ families have picked up cleats, pants, and gloves at no cost with an estimated total savings over $24,000.
EMAIL OUR EXCHANGE COORDINATORS (Bob Woodruff ) if you have any donations for the exchange so that we may arrange to obtain these from you. You may also just bring them that morning, earlier the better.
PLEASE, PLEASE only baseball/softball gloves, cleats, bats, and baseball/softball pants that can still be used by a little leaguer. No adult sizes or odd pieces. Anyone who knows a SYA Little League board member may give your donations to the board member who will get them into our bank of donations. Of note, any scholarship players and new players to SYA Little League at any level will be able to take one of each piece of equipment for free with their spring sign up.
