Did you ever wonder how our track and field program is so successful? It’s a combination of dedicated, patient volunteers and fantastic athletes!
SYA Track & Field coaches put in a 12 hour shift during a mid May 2025 weekend at the 10th annual Dale City Lightning Relays in Dale City, VA. One of the more competitive meets of the year, this competition featured some of the top talent in the Northern Virginia region and 1300 athletes registered! SYA Track & Field’s Coach Hill and Coach Davis worked overtime to ensure our athletes perform at their best, and the athletes exceeded expectations.
From our little corner in Southwestern Fairfax County, thank you Coach Davis & Coach Hill! You both certainly championed the role of ‘super volunteer’ this May!
