This Saturday, 6/15, SYA Little League is hosting a MLB Play Ball Weekend event at Patriot Park North from 3pm to 8pm. Sponsored by MLB, in conjunction with USA Baseball, USA Softball, and Little League, this event is intended to showcase SYA Little League offerings.

Tentative Schedule:
3pm: “Home Run Derby” for baseball and softball players aged 8 and under on PPN #2
4pm: TeeBall and Coach Pitch games on both fields
5pm: TeeBall games on both fields
6pm: Fundamentals clinic for up and coming TB, CP, Rookies, and softball AA
Focus on throwing, catching, and swinging a bat
Players must bring a parent that wants to learn – really, this is to teach the parent as well!

AA/AAA/Majors Softball Sandlot Game
Softball players have a chance to get a sandlot game in with all coach pitch for an hour
Any girls looking to play at these levels are also accepted
We need a few coach/volunteers to oversee each team and for pitching

7pm: Baseball Sandlot Game
Our baseball players, from Rookies to AAA have an opportunity to play a sandlot game for about 90 minutes, all coach pitch

Other popup activities will occur throughout the evening with opportunities for free giveaways, music, Snack Shack, and the cages will be open. Come on out and experience SYA Little League. Many of our Board Members will be on hand to answer any questions you might have. Older players come on out and support the up and coming talent of SYA Little League!
Don’t forget earlier in the day, our District 10 SYA All Stars 9-11 open play at 10am at PPN #2.
