Fall Season

This year, SYA is promoting a new program for fall 2024!

SYA Lacrosse has partnered with Top Caliber Lacrosse, a travel Lacrosse program with roots in Northern Virgiina. They are an experienced Lacrosse program and will be instructing our Fall season this year to give our SYA Lacrosse program a boost!  

With this new program there are some changes.  We will host our Fall programs on SATURDAY mornings at Centre Ridge Elementary School.  Exact time have not been identified yet but should be between 9-12pm depending on field availability.  The program will be split between younger aged kids and older aged kids and will be a station oriented training clinic to teach fundamental Lacrosse skills based on registrants abilities.  First session will be Sept 7, 2024 and we will run through first week or two in November, with the last 3-5 sessions geared to controlled scrimmages depending on volunteer based coach availability

Boys and girls grades K – 8th grade.

Where is it held?

Centre Ridge Elementary School – 14400 New Braddock Rd, Centreville

Boys and Girls

Saturdays starting 9/7/2024 between 9-12noon (specific time frames will be sent via email for each group

Equipment Issue Dates

Extra Space Storage Chantilly VA. Directions to be issued via email prior to equipment issue.

Is anything else required?

Boys need a lacrosse stick that meets National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) Rules standards. We recommend sticks similar to the STX Boys’ Stallion 50 Lacrosse Stick. Boys also need to wear protective cups. Boys will require helmet, shoulder pads, and arm guards, which are available for rent at the time of registration. 

Girls need a lacrosse stick that meets National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) Rules standards. We recommend sticks similar to the Under Armour Girls’ Futures Mesh Complete Lacrosse Stick. However, we do have a limited number of girls sticks available for rent at the time of registration. Girls are also required to wear lacrosse/field hockey goggles that meets National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) Rules standards (such as the STX Girls’ 2See Lacrosse/Field Hockey Goggles), which are also available to rent at the time of registration. 

All players must have a mouthguard (available at Dick’s Sporting Goods or other sports retailers). Rubber soled cleats are recommended, but not necessary.
