We’re excited to share an important update about SYA Baseball’s future!
For the past 20+ years, SYA has offered baseball through two programs: Little League for our younger players and Babe Ruth for our older players. Before that, SYA offered baseball for all players up to 18 under one program: Little League. For years, we’ve discussed how to better align our families to ensure we have one cohesive program. Beginning Spring 2027, we’re bringing these programs back together under the Little League charter to create one coordinated baseball experience from T-ball through high school. Little League also offers over 20 teams to compete in the local area within 30 minutes of SYA! For ages 17 & 18, SYA offers American Legion ball.
What’s not changing? Our commitment to providing a fun, safe, and competitive baseball experience for every player. Our dedicated coaches and volunteers will remain an important part of SYA’s baseball community. As a parent, the process for you is simple; you will still register for baseball at any level within SYA through our Playmetrics platform. www.syasports.org
This transition will help strengthen player development, support our travel baseball programs, and create a more connected experience for families as their children grow. We’ll share more details as we prepare for the upcoming season. Thank you for being part of the SYA baseball family!
Thank you,
SYA Commissioner Diamond Sports
