Capture the Moment!

Every year thousands of kids particpate in SYA sports.  With 13 sports, there’s something for everyone. While the sports may be different, the kids share one thing…the moment. The moment when a child does the extraordinary. It can happen on a field or in a gym. It’s the moment that is captured in their eyes, their smile, their voice. It is the moment when the joy of sports is realized.

Join SYA and capture the moment.

About SYA

Since 1973 SYA has provided the youth of Centreville and Clifton, Virginia and the surrounding communities with the opportunity to participate in sports activities. Today, SYA serves over 13,000 children ages 4-19, and over 5,000 families. SYA is a non-profit, all volunteer organization dedicated to providing the children of Southwestern Fairfax County with a safe and positive environment through sports competition.

Mission & Values

Mission The SYA mission is to promote healthy, safe and fun athletic opportunities for the youth of the greater Centreville and Clifton communities.

Values The foundation of SYA is built on the following values: * Character Building – Teaching kids how to be both good sports and good citizens. * Teamwork – Being part of a sports team helps develop crucial social skills. * Skill Development – Learning and developing each child’s athletic skills. * Respect – Treating players, opponents, coaches, parents, and officials appropriately because after all it is a game. * Recognition – Understanding everyone has potential in something, recognize that, and see a child’s potential become reality.
